9/15 Sermon Discussion Questions

Recap:

• Pastor Sara invited us to inspect our Bridge to God by looking at the question: “Do I know how to read and apply scripture?”
• She talked about the love that the Psalmist of Psalm 119 has for the word of God because it gives direction, hope, light, wisdom, and peace. 
• She invited us to consider the following ways we could learn to love and understand the Bible better:
  • Invest time into reading.
  • Get tools to help you understand. 
  • Don’t just read, put it into practice. 
  • Read and study the Bible in community with others. 

Reflection Questions:

• Do I spend consistent time reading God’s word because I God’s word as valuable? If not, what are the barriers that keep you from doing that?
• When I consider my relationship with the Bible, where has God’s word given me direction and insight? Hope & peace?
• Have I invested time in learning how to understand the Bible?
• Do I know what tools to use to help me understand the Bible?
