Shelvis and Nancy work with RECONCILE (Resource Centre for Civil Leadership), which promotes peace-building by training in trauma recovery, conflict reconciliation, and civic education.

Prayer Requests

• For peace. The Smith-Mathers frequently witness radical reconciliation among people with painful histories; may these stories inspire people to forgive each other and live together in harmony.
• For children in South Sudan to be able to go to school. May they have roofs, desks, books, pencils, paper, and techers with knowledge and skills to give students' ideas wings to fly.
• For God to heal the wounds of trauma in the Smith-Mathers' hearts, which are deeply impacted by what they hear and see.
• For wisdom for Shelvis and Nancy as parents raising Jordan, Addie, and Nicole cross-culturally.
