We would love to have you join us any Sunday morning at
10:00 for our worship service!
10025 NW 62nd Avenue
Johnston, IA 50131
Our worship music is primarily contemporary praise music.
However, one of our values as a church is to experience God through diversity.
That means that we sometimes have a variety of musical expressions during our
worship service (i.e. an organ prelude, an instrumental song during the offering,
a song with other languages or cultural sounds in it, or acoustic styles of
worship).
We do not have any one type of attire that is common on Sunday
mornings. Some people come in sweatpants. Some people come in suits or
dresses. Please show up however you feel most comfortable.
We offer a safe nursery for infants and toddlers. As you enter the
building, you will see kiosks with iPads in them. Volunteers will be available to
help you get your child checked in for the nursery. They will get a sticker with
their name and a number on it, and you will get a sticker with a matching
number that you will be asked to present when you pick up your child.
We offer kids ministry programming most Sundays of the year
for preschoolers-5 graders. As you enter the building, you will see kiosks with
iPads in them. Volunteers will be available to help you get your child checked in
for their age group.
We value having kids in worship with us, so for the first set of songs, kids will
stay in the room. Before we start announcements, parents will be asked to walk
their children back to the kids ministry volunteers in the back of the room. They
will then be picked up by parents in their classrooms at the end of the service.
There is a parking lot in front of the building that is easily accessible
and viewable from the road.
I’m so glad you’re considering a visit to The Bridge! We’re a diverse community of folks from different backgrounds, generations, and political assumptions — and we’re actively learning to love Jesus and each other well across those differences. That’s messier than it sounds and more beautiful than I expected. So come prepared — you might hear an organ, learn a new sign in ASL, or experience the full worship team with lights and all. We take the Bible seriously and try to teach it honestly. We ask hard questions and leave room for doubt. And we’re always glad to welcome someone new into our community.
I hope you’ll come find out for yourself.
